The USASF trains and certifies Legality Officials for All Star Cheer and Dance Sanctioned Competitions annually. The certification term is based on each annual USASF membership term. An on-site certification for cheer and dance is offered each year at the National Meeting, where Legality Official candidates are invited to register for enriching and exciting courses in addition to attending the legality training course(s). The cheer and dance virtual course and test options will be available beginning 08/01/2022.

Online Legality Official Course Dates, Location and Fees
Virtual Legality Official certification and testing will open on 08/01/2022. Return here for more information *Please note: it is recommended that first-time candidates take the course in person.
*Cheer Legality Officials who were fully certified for the 2021-2022 season will not be required to re-certify for the 2022-2023 season. Please review the status of your background check to ensure it is up-to-date for the new season by logging into your USASF profile.
*Dance Legality Officials who were fully certified for the 2021-2022 season will not be required to re-certify for the 2022-2023 season. However, a mandatory virtual course covering the rules changes for the new season will be presented should candidates elect not to take the entire certification course. Registration for these courses will be available beginning 8/1/2022. Please review the status of your background check to ensure it is up-to-date for the new season by logging into your USASF profile.
