USASF RULES & AGE GRID

USASF rules, divisions and categories help to create a safe, consistent and fair platform for cheer and dance athletes at All Star competitions and practices. Safety, skill progression, and fair play are the primary priorities when setting or adjusting any rule or guideline. Additionally, the USASF establishes best practice guidelines for areas of All Star that support the sport's integrity but aren't directly related to safety.

The USASF rules change process is consistent from season to season. For transparency and a better understanding of how the process works, please review each step:  Rules Change Process.

The USASF reinforces its rules and safety guidelines through coach credentialing helping cheer coaches become proficient in teaching appropriate skill progressions and safety judge certification that equips safety judges with the knowledge and resources to enforce safety rules during competition.
