SANCTIONED COMPETITIONS

When All Star clubs and athletes attend USASF Sanctioned Competitions, they aren't just competing among the best, they are attending events that comply with the sport's best safety practices. Event producers must provide minimum safety standards before their events qualify as USASF-sanctioned so participants can find peace of mind knowing the same rules and regulations will be followed at every event, by each participant.

Why attend USASF-sanctioned competitions

USASF-sanctioned competitions are designed to support, strengthen, and foster a safe and fair environment where All Star athletes can compete among the best. When athletes compete at sanctioned events, this means the event producer has taken the following steps to create a positive place for athletes to compete:

    • Consistent rules, age requirements and standards are in place to establish a level playing field.
    • Required background screenings for club owners, coaches, personnel and adult athletes who are with teams in warm-up and backstage areas.
    • A properly equipped EMT or athletic trainer is present in the event of an emergency.
    • USASF-trained and -certified legality officials are on-call or on-site to provide rulings in real time.
    • Excess accidental medical insurance and catastrophic accident insurance coverage in effect for USASF-member athletes and coaches while competing or practicing at sanctioned events.
