CHEER SCORING

USASF Cheer Scoring System

USASF has released the updated scoring rubric for USASF Club divisions at The Cheerleading Worlds 2027. The updated score sheet converts the current USASF Club Division scoring system from a 170-point format to a 100-point format.

This update is intended to better align with the IASF 100-point scoring system while maintaining the scoring priorities, category structure, and overall rubric expectations coaches are already familiar with.

The change is primarily a scale conversion, not a major change in scoring philosophy. In most categories, the percentage weight remains within less than one percentage point of the current score sheet.

The most notable rubric adjustment is that jumps will now be evaluated as a capped category, aligning with the direction introduced in the IASF scoring system. This update is intended to create clearer expectations for coaches and judges while supporting greater consistency throughout the season.

An Industry Standard. The USASF scoring system is designed to enhance trust and confidence in the judging process. It also provides teams with a valuable tool for evaluating their performances and making improvements. Judges' training and resources are available through the USASF, in collaboration with USASF event producers who choose to use the system. A list of trained judges is accessible throughout the season.
