Freedom Allstar Cheer Creates a Space of Hope

Athletes and families from Freedom Allstar Cheer in Binghampton, NY, teamed up with A Room to Heal to give a local child fighting cancer—and her twin sister and older brother—a place filled with comfort, safety and joy.

Freedom athletes decorated, assembled furniture and poured their hearts into creating a room where the siblings could feel supported, connected and surrounded by love.

“Our goal was to create a space where the three of them could laugh, play and make happy memories together, a space that helps them heal from the scariness of cancer,” shared Club Owner Jennifer Formanek.

Thanks to their kindness and big hearts, the athletes and families of Freedom Allstar Cheer gave this family so much more than a new room. They created a space where healing and happy memories can grow.

Dynamic Dance’s Coin Wars: Fun with a Purpose

At their annual All Star Kickoff Picnic, Dynamic Dance in Brandon, SD, turned friendly competition into community impact with their spirited Coin Wars. This year, the focus was the school district’s Angel Fund, which helps students in need by covering breakfasts and lunches.

Each team had a jar, and dancers loaded them with coins and bills. Pennies and bills added to their team’s total, while silver coins could sabotage their rivals—leading to clever tactics, lots of laughs and some serious coin-counting strategy.

When the competition ended, the winning team earned a spot in the studio’s Coin Wars Champs frame and a one-time Get Out of Strength (training) pass. But the real victory? Giving back.

Thanks to the athletes' efforts, Dynamic Dance raised $734..52, providing over 250 meals to students in the district. A fun competition, a little mischief and a whole lot of heart—Dynamic Dance proves that giving back can be a blast.

Little Things, Big Impact for Children in Foster Care

Caelynn Coar, a cheer athlete from Airborne Elite in Warminster, PA, took on a heartwarming project collecting duffle bags, pajamas, toiletries, underwear, socks and other essentials for kids in foster care. She learned that many of these children arrive at foster homes with nothing but a trash bag to carry their belongings, and that really stuck with her. Caelynn wanted to do something that would help them feel more comfortable and cared for during such a tough transition.took on a heartwarming project collecting duffle bags, pajamas, toiletries, underwear, socks and other essentials for kids in foster care. What really inspired Caelynn was hearing stories from a foster family she knows. The way they care for young children in need motivated her to step up and find a way to help too. Knowing that the items she collected could bring comfort and dignity to children going through such a hard time made the whole experience incredibly meaningful.

Thanks to her efforts—and the support of the community—Caelynn was able to make a real difference. It felt amazing for her to do something kind and helpful, and she’s truly proud to have brought people together to support such an important cause.

Dancers Spread Holiday Cheer to Local Families

Maura Risk, a dancer from Star Performance Centre in Liberty Township, OH, organized a Christmas gift drive in 2024. She brought together seniors and coaches at her studio to fulfill the wish lists of five families through Adopt-a-Family. Maura shared that the All-Star Gives Back project taught her how easy it is to help others when you have the right people by your side. "Not only did this project give me an opportunity to grow as a leader, but it also deepened my appreciation for my teammates and the USASF," she said.

Having previously participated in a USASF BOLT leadership workshop, Maura saw her unique leadership style come to life during the ASGB project. "When challenges arose, I was able to step back and view them from a fresh perspective, realizing they weren’t obstacles, but rather a natural part of life," Maura explained. "This project boosted my confidence and helped me achieve the sense of commitment I had been striving for since the BOLT workshop."

The USASF is incredibly proud of Maura for inspiring such enthusiasm in her studio to give back to the community and for demonstrating her leadership skills in action!
