The USASF Athlete Advisory Council consists of high school-age Member Athletes who are provided a platform to meet and address emerging issues of broad potential impact. The role of the AAC is to provide the National Advisory Board members with insight and input solely from the athlete's perspective.
HOW TO APPLY
Submission deadline: closed for the 2022-23 season
Eligibility Requirements:
USASF Member Athletes currently in high school who have completed the USASF BOLT Leadership Workshop.
Selection:
Upon receipt of your application, a sub-committee of the National Advisory Board and USASF staff members will review and select qualified athletes to serve.
Term:
Upon selection of AAC members, 15 members will serve one (1) term, and 15 members will be selected to serve two (2) terms.
Commitment:
All meetings will be hosted by either phone conference call or online by video conference. All applicants must complete the USASF Committee Confidentiality Agreement, including a parent signature and participate in 2-4 regional calls within each one-year term. Some will be selected to attend video conferences with the National Advisory Board upon request.
Qualifications for selection:
In preparing to apply, you must have:
• Completion of BOLT Workshop
• Resume
• Letter of Recommendation from a USASF Member Coach or Owners
• Submission of a 1-minute video answering the following question: Why would I be a valuable asset to the USASF Athlete Advisory Council?
*Applications for the 2023-24 season will open in the Spring of 2023
